Lacquistry — Fluff Nugget (Custom)

Happy Sunday everyone!

I have something that I am VERY VERY excited to share with you guys today! I had been wanting to get a custom polish made for a while, but everyone was busy, then Jenna at Lacquistry announced on her Facebook that she was opening up for custom orders. As soon as I saw that, I flew over there to message her. :D

As you all may or may not know, I have a Sun Conure named Sunny who has been with me for 16 years. He is my baby and basically the love of my life. Lol. I wanted to get a polish to represent him and Jenna did just that! I couldn't be more happy with what she came up with.

So I present you my custom Lacquistry polish Fluff Nugget! :D

Here's me trying to model with the inspiration. He wasn't too happy about it. Lol.

I layered 1 coat of Fluff Nugget over 2 coats of China Glaze Sunshine Pop. I'm kind of glad I had a yellow on hand that is as loud and obnoxious as he is. :)

Fluff Nugget is a clear base with a mixture of fine/micro orange glitter, larger pieces of reds, golden holo yellow, holo green, and holo baby blue/royal blue mini-hexs.

I am so so so so happy with this polish you have no idea! Jenna is amazing and such a sweetheart. You can order a custom polish from her for $10 ea. Not sure if she's still taking customs right now, but you can always check out her Facebook for more information!

And if you guys want to see some bottle spam, click the jump! :D

AllThatGlitters — Very Peacock-ish

Here's an oldie that I thought I had posted already but apparently did not!

AllThatGlitters Very Peacock-ish. This is a blue-green sheer shimmer base packed with small blue and green glitters as well are medium black and large black/opal and gold hex glitters.

I layered 2 coats of Very Peacock-ish over 1 coat of Bettina Ocean. Formula on this was relatively good to work with. The glitters weren't that hard to get out the bottle but I did have to sort of put them where I wanted since they tended to want to go on the ends of my nails. I did notice that the large black / opal hexes were a bit curled up but it didn't hinder application. They did poke out a bit even after 2 coats of Gelous and 1 coat of Seche Vite though.

AllThatGlitters polishes can be purchased at her Etsy store for $8.00 USD for full-sized 15ml / .5oz bottles.

Until next time~ :)

Whimsical Ideas by Pam — Seuss

Hello hello! Today I have another fantastic indie polish from Whimsical Ideas by Pam!

Seuss is a semi-sheer blue base with blue small and micro-glitter, small red hex glitter, and larger silver hex glitter. It is an awesome interpretation of Dr. Seuss and really reminds me of Thing 1 and Thing 2!

This is 2 coats of Seuss on top of Bettina Vintage. It can probably be layered on it's own but I wanted to layer it in case it was super sheer. I could have probably worn this with 3 coats on its own though!

I wore this for 3 days with just a little tip wear and one chip where a glitter was sticking out o my top coat and chipped a bit off my nail, but other than that, wear was really good!

You can purchase Whimsical Ideas polishes from Pam's Facebook page. Her polishes are $10 USD each and you just shoot her an email with the polishes you want and she'll invoice you and ship them out!

Until next time~ :)

KBShimmer — Lilac Dreams

Today I have another KBShimmer polish for you guys.

This one is called Lilac Dreams. It is a light purple to pink microglitter / metallic with aqua and silver holographic particles as well as a scattering of black and silver micro glitter.  This is really gorgeous.

This is 2 coats of Lilac Dreams with 1 coat of Seche Vite top coat. This polish compared to the previous one I reviewed from them is 100xs better. This did dry fast but not SO fast that I couldn't get it on the nail and it wasn't thick or hard to work with formula wise.

And here's a more detailed shot via my cell phone. You can see the micro glitter and particles better.

KBS polishes can be purchased from their Etsy store. They're currently waiting on a shipment of base but will be restocking and have 2 new collections in the works. :)

Until next time~ :)

Elixir Lacquers — Bad Kitty

I seem to have found several polishes that I swatched that I NEVER edited or posted here so expect to see those popping up over the next week.

A while back I showed you guys Lynderella Nosegay layered over Elixir Lacquer Bad Kitty LE. Today I'm finally showing you Bad Kitty! Hehe.

Better late than never, eh?

Bad Kitty LE is a limited edition polish by fellow blogger Nicole of Nail Polish Wars. This is a light purple to teal duochrome. It's a beautiful and kind of insane polish to see first hand.

It's so shiny!

It is on the sheer side, I think this was 3-4 coats and I still had VNL which is why I layered Nosegay over it but it's seriously gorgeous on it's own.  You can layer this polish on tons of different bases to create new and unique looks.  And it is a bit streaky but if you apply this properly the brush strokes aren't bad.

Bad Kitty is unfortunately limited edition, but I think Nicole may be releasing another small set soon. If you're lucky, you can pick this up for $12 USD over on  the Elixir Lacquers website.

Until next time~ :)

KBShimmer — Robin

 Hello lovelies!

Today I have a polish from the indie brand KBShimmer. KBShimmer also makes artisan soaps, bath bombs, sugar scrubs, lip scrubs, butters and lotions, etc. I haven't tried any of their body stuff before but one day I do plan on ordering some to try!

I am sharing one of the three polishes I purchased from them.

Robin is a light blue (almost periwinkle) shimmer / metallic based polish with fuchsia, purple, green, silver, and teal holographic glitters. Speckled to resemble a Robin's egg.

This was not a fun polish to photograph! I could not for anything get this to be color accurate. :/

To be completely honest, I wasn't that happy with this polish. The finish wasn't what I was expecting and the formula was not good. It was really thick / gloopy and dried SO SO fast I couldn't even spread it out completely before it started drying. Now I love a quick-dry polish but that was TOO fast. Maybe if I tried using a thinner, it would have been better but meh. I don't think I care for the frosty/shimmer finish covering the pieces of glitter either. If it were a jelly or more sheer base I probably would have liked it more.

It's still a pretty polish, but like I said, I was just disappointed with it. Someone else may love it to bits! Who knows.

KBShimmer's polishes sell for $7.50 in their Etsy store, which the currently don't have any up. Not sure when they're restocking. They have some great colors and I'm still excited to try the other two polishes I bought from them.

Until next time, lovelies~

I apologize for not posting much this week but I have been SOO busy with RL and work and I've just been worn out! I do have some things that I need to edit and get posted so hopefully expect a couple of posts to come this week. I'm not sure I'll be posting 3 times a week like I was before but definitely expect to have more than one update (hopefully) a week. I definitely have enough polish to keep me busy for a while. Heheh.

Until next time~ :)
